TOMMY

Signal Stabilization

Signal stabilization trades a little detection for fewer false positives.

With signal stabilization on, TOMMY adds stabilization to the signal to avoid false positives. This lowers what TOMMY detects, but gives fewer false positives.

Signal stabilization is on for new zones. You turn it on or off under Zone settings on the zone's page in the dashboard. Detection restarts for the zone when you switch, which takes a few seconds.

Recommendation

  • Off for zones that only use ESP32-C5 devices. Presence detection also needs it off.
  • On for every other zone.

Supported devices

Not every board can run with signal stabilization off. If a zone has at least one board that can't, the option is unavailable for that zone. In a group, the shared sensor counts as one of the zone's devices.
